There are so many new trends with fitness it can be hard to weed through the garbage and find something real. That’s why we started teaching AIRobics classes at Helium Trampoline Park in Quad Cities, IA.
AIRobics is a type of workout called “rebounding”, and it’s exactly what it sounds like — you’re jumping on a trampoline. Our instructors lead groups and include calisthenics (gymnastics exercises), core exercises and aerobics to our classes so you can get a rewarding workout in the 1-hour sessions. But how do you know rebounding works? For one, NASA has implemented rebounding as an exercise in their astronaut program.
There are so many benefits to AIRobics that we couldn’t fit them all in this blog if we tried, but we’ll mention the best! Rebounding 1) Circulates more oxygen to tissues 2) Strengthens your heart 3) Takes the strain off of your joints 4) Stimulates your metabolism 5) Improves your coordination and balance. After one hour of an AIRobics class, you can burn around 1000 calories – that’s about 60% more than running on a treadmill!
